The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has limited all tax preparation software products in Canada that allow you to NETFILE to a maximum of 20 returns to be filed per computer or online account. This guideline applies to TurboTax. It is the same guideline that was in place for the 2010 tax year.

NOTE: The 20-return limit applies to returns filed on paper or electronically using NETFILE.

For those using TurboTax Basic or TurboTax Standard

• 8 returns for net individual income over $25K ("paid returns")
• 12 returns for net income of $25K or less ("free returns")

For those using TurboTax Premier or TurboTax Home & Business

• 12 returns for net individual income over $25K ("paid returns")
• 8 returns for net income of $25K or less ("free returns")

NOTE: Exceptions are TurboTax 20, which includes 20 returns, and TurboTax Business Incorporated, which includes 1 return.
