Paperless filing: TurboTax is greener than ever!

Intuit supports unconditionally Revenu Québec’s initiative aimed at reducing the amount of paper used for income tax returns. In order to promote paperless filing, Revenu Québec enables you to access all of your Provincial tax data and download it into your provincial tax return.

You can download these slips in your 2010 return :
  • RL-1 – Employment and other income
  • RL-2 – Retirement and annuity income
  • RL-3 – Investment income
  • RL-5 – Benefits and indemnities
  • RL-6 – Québec parental insurance plan
  • RL-7 – Investments in an investment plan
  • RL-8 – Amount for post-secondary studies
  • RL-10 – Tax credit for a labour-sponsored fund
  • RL-16 – Trust income
  • RL-19 – Advance payments of tax credits
  • RL-22 – Employment income related to multi-employer insurance plans
  • RL-24 – Child care expenses
  • RL-25 – Income from a profit-sharing plan
  • RL-26 – Capital régional et coopératif Desjardins
  • RL-27 – Government payments

Conditions of use

To be able to download your tax data, available in the My Account section, you must first register for ClicSÉQUR, the Québec government’s identity authentication service. 

It takes about 30 minutes to register for clicSÉQUR which will give you access to all of the Quebec Government’s online programs and information, including the ability to download your tax data from Revenu Quebec for import into TurboTax.

Optimum time for download

In order to benefit fully from this improved feature, it is best to wait until mid-March to download your tax slips from the Revenu Québec. This will take into account the filing deadline for slips, as well as allow Revenu Québec to process the data, and post all your relevés on My Account.

In the future

Revenu Québec’s initiative for downloading tax data will continue to evolve and will, over time, extend to other information and tax slips. And, of course, TurboTax will offer those new functions as soon as they are available.
