To retrieve your password, on the main Canada Revenue Agency Login Services page:

  1. Locate the My Account button. Click on it and you will be directed to the login page.
  2. Scroll down about halfway and locate the CRA Login button. Click on that and you will see a link asking if you forgot your password. Follow this link and you will be prompted to enter your user name in the space provided.
  3. From there, you will need to answer a security question which you chose when you first set up your account. Answer the question correctly and you will then be able to reset your password.

If you have forgotten your User ID, you cannot retrieve it online. You will need to re-register your CRA My Account in order to be able to access your file.
