If you owe money to the Canada Revenue Agency, it’s easy to set up a pre-authorized debit agreement using the CRA My Account online service. Through this agreement, periodic payments will be automatically withdrawn until your balance is paid off.

To set up a pre-authorized debit agreement

  1. Log in to your CRA My Account
  2. Click on the Accounts and Payments tab at the top of the page.
  3. On the next page, click on the link called Pre-authorized Debit.

You will be taken to the pre-authorized debit management page, where you will be able to create a new agreement, manage any active agreements you may already have and view inactive agreements.

To get started, click on the Create a New Agreement button at the bottom left of the page and follow the on-screen instructions.
