Overview
The Canada Employment Credit (CEC), is a non-refundable tax credit designed to help employees with work expenses like uniforms, home computers or supplies needed to perform their jobs.
- For the 2018 tax year, the CEC has a ceiling of $1,195.
- You can apply for the credit when you file your taxes by filing out the Canada employment amount on line 363 of the Schedule 1 federal tax form.
- Self-employed individuals are not eligible for this credit.
