If you are receiving a tax refund from the Canada Revenue Agency, you can sign up to have your refund directly deposited into your account. The CRA offers direct deposit for income tax refunds, goods and services tax credits, working income tax benefits, universal child care benefits, and deemed overpayment of taxes.
In order to sign up for direct deposit, enroll the CRA’s My Account online portal. To register, you need your social insurance number, full name, address with postal code, and your two most recent income tax returns. You will also need your banking information, including your financial institution number, transit number and account number.
You can also enroll in direct deposit by contracting CRA by phone or mail.
